    Parts of the storm system creating severe weather in the MO valley will brush by us tonight, resulting in some strong thunderstorms with gusty winds. Here is the Graphical Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the national Weather service.

    A FEW STRONG STORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT ASSOCIATED WITH A
    SQUALL LINE. THE LINE WILL REACH CLARKSVILLE SHORTLY AFTER
    MIDNIGHT...AND NASHVILLE BEFORE SUNUP. GUSTY THUNDERSTORM WINDS...30
    TO 40 MPH...ARE LIKELY WITH THE LINE.

    The thunderstorms are expected to be categorized as strong, and severe potential is fairly low. Gusty winds are expected with this outer system.

    The outer back bands of this large squall line are expected to roll through Mid Tn shortly after Midnight tonight. There will (hopefully) be some lightning involved with this system.

    SHORT TERM FORECAST FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE:

    AT 1020 PM...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM
    THE LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES BACK TO JACKSON TENNESSEE. MOVEMENT WAS
    TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. SOME OF THIS RAIN WILL AFFECT AREAS
    FROM CAMDEN TO DOVER BEFORE MIDNIGHT. THE BULK OF THE EXPECTED
    RAINFALL IS LOCATED NEAR THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER...AND WILL REACH
    MIDDLE TENNESSEE SHORTLY AFTER MIDNIGHT.
